Today’s casting roundup includes Javier Bardem, Marion Cotillard and Vanessa Redgrave, Australian star Rachel Griffiths, and Korean actors Park Eun-bin, Yum Jung-ah and Wi Ha-joon.

The cast will also perform original songs and music written by Bateman and Claire Givens. Production is now underway, while Mister Smith Entertainment is handling international sales around the TIFF market.

Griffiths, known for Six Feet Under, Muriel’s Wedding and Hilary and Jackie, will play Moira, a glamorous former beauty therapist who served prison time for fraud and is now living at Sal’s Halfway House.

Upcoming South Korean film Nam Eun-jung has officially completed its principal cast and began filming on September 3.

The cast includes Yum Jung-ah, Park Eun-bin, Wi Ha-joon, Lee Ki-taek and Lee Min-ji.

The film centers on Kang Hyun-sook, played by Yum Jung-ah, and her youngest daughter Nam Eun-jung, played by Park Eun-bin.

After years of conflict and misunderstandings, the mother and daughter struggle with a relationship that has become increasingly distant.

Wi Ha-joon plays Park Sun-woo, Eun-jung’s supportive boyfriend, while Lee Ki-taek and Lee Min-ji play Eun-jung’s siblings, Nam Eun-chul and Nam Eun-mi.

The movie will be directed by Kim Dong-hoon, marking his feature-film directorial debut.
