International casting continues to bring together performers from different countries, backgrounds and levels of experience. This week, Netflix’s Extraction 3 added five actors to its international cast, HBO Max’s The Pitt announced seven new recurring performers, and the Indian biopic Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story used a UK casting call to find young actors for cricket scenes.

Netflix’s Extraction 3 Adds Five New Actors

Netflix’s Extraction 3 has expanded its cast with Pierce Brosnan, Don Lee, Joe Taslim, Chi Lewis-Parry and Siena Agudong.

They join Chris Hemsworth, who returns as Tyler Rake. Idris Elba and Golshifteh Farahani are also part of the returning cast. The film is currently in production in Australia, with Sam Hargrave returning as director.

The roles of the five newly announced actors have not yet been revealed.

The additions make the production particularly international. Pierce Brosnan is Irish, Don Lee is a major Korean action star, and Joe Taslim is an Indonesian actor and martial artist. Their involvement shows how major streaming productions increasingly bring talent together from several film industries.

The Pitt Adds Seven Actors for Season 3

HBO Max medical drama The Pitt has added seven actors to its recurring guest cast for Season 3.

The new performers are Stephen Chang, Barry Clifton, Chris Diamantopoulos, Lawrence Kao, Brent Sexton, JB Tadena and Hannah Ware.

Their characters include patients, doctors and a senior hospital executive. Chris Diamantopoulos will play Dr. Asher Grossman, the Chief Medical Officer of Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, while JB Tadena will play physician Dr. Reed Thomas.

Stephen Chang, Barry Clifton, Lawrence Kao, Brent Sexton and Hannah Ware will appear as patients entering the hospital during the new season.

Season 3 is expected to premiere on HBO Max in January 2027.

The upcoming Indian feature film Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story has also been casting performers in the United Kingdom.

A Backstage casting listing searched for male actors aged 14–18 to appear as student cricketers, as well as a teen bowler aged 16–18.

The listing scheduled filming for 23 August in Durham, England, with listed role payments of up to £200. Because the scheduled shoot date is today, performers should check the live casting listing before assuming applications remain open.

The film tells the story of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly. Rajkummar Rao stars as Ganguly, while acclaimed filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane directs.

The film is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on 14 May 2027.

Believe and Suno have announced a global partnership connecting licensed generative AI products with Believe and TuneCore’s distribution infrastructure. Meanwhile, Reliant Music has partnered with Warner-owned ADA Benelux to combine independent A&R with international distribution and label services. Together, the agreements show how distributors are becoming more involved in AI licensing, artist development, marketing and international growth.
