‘Revenge’ Begins Filming With Zhang Linghe, Lu Yuxiao and Expanded Cast

Chinese costume political drama Revenge (刺棠) has officially begun filming in Hengdian, China, with Zhang Linghe and Lu Yuxiao leading the cast.

The production formally announced its cast as filming began on September 12. Lu Yuxiao stars as Su Luowei, while Zhang Linghe plays Ye Tingyan / Ye He. The wider ensemble includes Wang Hongyi, Sun Ning, Sun Zhenni and several other performers.

Eight male supporting actors highlighted in the newly announced lineup include Wang Hongyi, Li Qing, Tong Mengshi, Gao Hanyu, Ding Jiawen, Sun Zeyuan, Zhang Yao and Zeng Kelong. Several have previously appeared in established Chinese costume and historical dramas.

The production has also begun releasing character material and promotional visuals as filming gets underway.
